New Minis!

Hi!
Today American Girl released 5  new Mini Dolls!

Mini Ivy is um... Large. I think this Mini Doll is a bit fat but it is still soooo cute!
Mini Marie-Grace looks almost exactly like the 18inch Marie-Grace. She is just so adorable!
Cecile's little curls are so sweet and I adore her boots for some odd reason!
Special Edition Julie is perfect. I have the big Julie and mini Julie and this mini is an exact replica!
Where do I begin on how much I love this doll. I'm and sooooo getting this mini!!!!

What Minis do you have? Do you have any Special Edition mini dolls?

First Photostory!

Hi! My name is Rebecca Rubin but you can call me Bekie! Today I'm going to give you a tour of American Girl Academy for Dolls, tomorrow is the first day of school so everyone is doing their part in cleaning and setting up!

My sister Kirsten is making the beds where we will sleep while attending AGA (American Girl Academy).

Ivy is feeding our class pets, George and Billy Bob Joe XVIII (or is it XVIIII) the fish. We have to get them a bigger tank soon (note to self..)
Ivy's twin (and BFF) Julie is making sure the teachers desk is in order (and practicing her multiplication)!

Emily has put herself in charge of decorating the white board. She is a GREAT artist

Felicity is using the skills she learned at her former school to polish our samovar so we can have hot tea in the morning!

Kaya is setting up our locker combos and fixing anything that got worn out or rusty over the summer!

My little sister Kanani is taking a break from building her Shave Ice and Food stand for a well deserved  orange soda!

And this is the school uniform for AGA! Isn't lovely? I went shopping a few weeks ago and bought some school stuff for me a my sisters to share!

A nice flowered book bag

An American Flag (because it never hurts to be patriotic!)

A library card! (I LOVE to read)

A Kewpies notebook! (Kewpies where the American Girl Dolls of 1914)

I love singing so I got this music sheet to practice on in case there is a school play!

This is a folder with worksheets we did over the summer.

Our lunch money to buy food from Kanani's Shave Ice and Food stand!

My summer reading book! Its it funny the girl in this book has the same name as me AND all the same clothes as me AND wants to be an actress just like me!?

And last but not least.. a pencil!

I hope you enjoyed your tour of American Girl Academy for Dolls! Come back tomorrow to see how our first day went!

25th Anniversary Special Edition Mini Dolls!

This year American Girl is releasing a new mini doll every month. And here they are:
Mini Kaya in her holiday dress! This dress was made for Kaya's village's celebration and is made out of faux buckskin, faux elk teeth and beads! I love this Mini Doll she looks just like the 18 inch Kaya!
Mini Felicity! She sooo cute in her little dress that looks just like the real thing! Her small mob cap and tiny shoe are just adorable!
This is my favorite Mini! I LOVE her mantilla, pantalettes, shoe and dress!! I'm planning to get her by the end of the year!
Mini Kirsten looks all set for winter! I have this outfit for my 18 inch Kirsten and it looks even cuter on a mini Kirsten!
Mini Addy I don't like her.... I LOVE this doll! Her dress really goes with her skin color! I also like how American Girl managed to put little earring on both this doll and Josefina!
Mini Samantha is sooo adorable. I think her hair is the longest of all the Mini Dolls! I like how her dress looks exactly like the real one (my sister has this dress for her 18 inch Samantha)!
Mini Kit is the newest Mini Doll and in my opinion one of the cutest! I'm amazed that American Girl put the little Scottish dog on her dress! I've always loved how Kit's hair looked and it looks so cute in Mini form with the little spotted hair tie!
Last but not least! Mini Molly! Her little glasses are very cute! Her dress is kinda short but that was the style back then. Mini Molly looks just like the real Molly right down to her Mary Jane shoes!

Next month Julie and Rebecca's Mini Dolls will be released! And sometime this week I'll do a photo story on how to make your own canopy doll bed!

My favorite Marie-Grace and Cecile things!

Hey everyone! Today American Girl released Marie-Grace and Cecile! Here are my favorite things from there collection:

Marie-Grace doll. I've decided to save up for here! (it might take a few centuries but I'll get there!) She is sooooo cute I love her pink dress and her little curls

Cecile doll. My sister want her BAD! Her pincurls are very cute and her dress is the prettiest shade of blue!

I love this little hoop skirt and chemise, but I think $24 for a little white shift and hoops is a bit much. I bet I could make it my self easy-peasy :D!

I love old fashioned puffy yet simple dress such as this one! Even if I don't get Marie-Grace I am soooo getting this dress!!

I read a little bit about each of these books, and I cannot WAIT to read these!!

Marie-Grace and Cecile coming out tomorrow!

Rumor has it that Marie-Grace Gardner and Cecile Rey will come out TOMORROW!!!
I can't wait!

My Favorite American Girl Mystery Books!

I love mysteries! Especially ones from American Girl! Here are my favorites:
When a mysterious stranger with burnt hands dressed in strange clothes comes to the village, Kaya decides to find out more about her.
This one is good to read during a rainy/snowy day
In this book Felicity must prove that her father and others she loves are not traitors! She also discovers a something about her families past.
This book is about how Josefina looks for a lost treasure and as some run-ins with La Lorna a mythical women said to be searching for her lost children.

When Kirsten's friend mysteriously disappears and the family oxen are taken away, what can Kirsten do?
After Addy saves a rich mans life, she and her family become servants on wealthy Society Hill. Addy wonders: is there really a ghost in the house, or something else?
When a new family moves into the apartment downstairs, Rebecca babysits their newborn daughter. Then Rebecca notices something strange about the baby. And her brother Victor's behavior
Samantha and Nellie are visiting a manor in England and hear rumors of a ghost in the castle nearby. Is it true?
Julie finds a letter in Chinese that makes no sense when Ivy translates it. Then Ivy and Julie's precious Chinese dolls are ruined. By who.

All these books are available at your local library or you can get them at most book stores

Marie-Grace and Cecile

Hi!
Any day now American Girl is going to release TWO new dolls named: Marie-Grace and Cecile! So I thought I'd tell you a little bit about them.
Marie-Grace is a emigrant girl from Massachusetts who moves to New Orleans in 1853 (notice American Girl is going off the usual dates ending in 4). Cecile is a wealthy African-American girl who becomes friends with Marie-Grace at their singing lessons. That year (1853) a terrible disease hits New Orleans called the Yellow Fever. It kills many people leaving some children orphaned. So Marie-Grace and Cecile help out at the local orphanage trying to keep the children from getting the Yellow Fever.

The main color of the book series will be pale blue

(photos and info from Doll Diaries.com a great website for getting AG news and more)
